While once there was a time where Saffire suffered from the unfortunate effects of having a thick mindset, under the training of his Saurian mentor, Saffire successfully has learned and corrected his once low IQ personality. As a result, Saffire is now more outgoing and a kindhearted being despite his size. He enjoys speaking to people, especially customers at his workplace, where he works as a tea barista. Even though his size makes him intimidating, he's not afraid to show off his benevolence to others when in the proper mood. In fact, He is good at putting his feelings aside and keep a professional role if needed. In spite of his age being unknown, Saffire speaks and thinks as if he's roughly the age of 25, having a firm grasp on what his responsibilities are and how to converse with many people of all ages. It takes quite a bit to get him upset, though it can be done quicker if provoked heavily either verbally or physically.
Saffire is a variant of an Exveemon that was recompiled into a different mutation after a great battle in the early part of digital world that costed him his early life. Saff was a fully compiled Exveemon before he went one on one with one of the toughest digimon known to man. The said fiend was looking to make its way to the human world and create mass destruction -- but in spite of Saff's fate, he sacrificed himself by using all of his power and might to take down the evil fiend into a black hole of miscellaneous data. His digital DNA had been lost forever in this void of data that was meant to never be recomposed ever again -- this void is also has data shared with within the multiverse. Although on a rare occurrence, a rearrangement of data can take place if done by a computer system within the real world.Saff's data has been lost for over 20 years, but thanks to a computer wiz from Manhattan who goes by the name of Lexington, what was supposed to be a night of fooling around with some new coding programs ended up with Lex magically finding Saff's data -- thus unintentionally rewrite the DNA code to essentially bring Saff back to life. Lex himself does not know what he has done since the program used to practice writing down code lines and executing certain factors, yet with Lex's efforts, Saff's digital DNA was revised in not just digimon DNA, but gargoyle as well thanks to the use of Lex's specific coding. This miraculous feat allowed Saff to have a second chance at life within the digital and human world alike after spending 22 years in the darkness. His body was soon spawned back into the digital world after this development, yet he didn't return to a normal state, but as a statue. Since the former Exveemon has gargoyle DNA within his system, he formed into a statue, soon breaking out from its stone chamber once the statue itself appeared. In spite of being freed from a 20 year slumber, Saff instantly noticed that his body took massive changes. He wasn't the same color and had extra features that made him different from other Exveemon. He wasn't startled by this occurrence either, this was because his memory was erased within the data deletion, forcing him not to remember his past and had to start over all from scratch.Saff soon found himself back in the human world after finding a portal take takes him there. Luckily for him, there has been a treaty and a ordinance signed off that allows most digimon to live among the human world. While selected, there's roughly a few hundred thousand digimon that live in peace with humans, however there are a few digimon that gain entry without proper protocols. Digimon that live on Earth have agreed that since breaches will forever continue as long as the digital world exists, they will protect humankind from possible disasters against malevolent digimon. With Saff being trusted, he agreed to take part of an elite force known as the Digital Force Unit, a select team of digimon that defends the humans against these threats. These breaches between worlds don't always occur consistently, sometimes you can go weeks or even a month or two without a breach. While breaches may not be consistent, the downside is a massive digimon that will require the use of a national guard to 'slow' the great threat down before the digimon themselves can intervene. In spite of this, digimon play a vital role in society by having jobs, owning houses, and if possible, starting families with humans in order to pass the time before a breach of such magnitude occurs.A year and a half after his rebirth, Saff now spends time in Osaka, Japan; formerly working at a steel factory but now works at a Tea Cafe as a personal assistant. Saffire lives a content life within the humans, befriending a few of them who go out of their way to teach Saff how to manage well in current society. Most importantly, he is enjoying that he is able to live another life, even if he doesn't know he is currently living a 'second' life, yet...
For the last 20+ years, humans have recognized and acknowledged the existence of digimon and the digital world. In spite of the chaos that can be caused by some digimon in both worlds, the preventative measures from human technology are tenuous to a degree and cannot prevent all breaches from some of the stronger digimon type. Such breaches are so catastrophic that not even the country's army can stop the threat unless creating a weapon that can level a city -- and that's a hopeful option that may not be successful.Thankfully, there are most digimon who have united with humanity. Together, humanity has no other choice but to accept the existence of digimon while bonding with those who have agreed to protect humanity from these extinction level events. As a result, roughly a few hundred thousand digimon now live among humans in the human world, most living close to areas where breaches often occur. A digital task force has been set up in most of the these areas, a unit containing a group of digimon who are now citizens among the human world. These units help neutralize threats from the digital world, preventing the strong use of military resources from humanity. While breaches can be rare in most cities due to the acts of some tech that humanity has created, the Digital Force Unit is still a crucial addition for Earth's safety, in which many grave threats have been secured in moments after an major breach.Digimon live very similar to humans, most live in human cities and communities, conducting similar societal roles such as having day jobs and paying off debts. Some have even developed stronger relationships with humans, having families, building friendships, and much more. The amount of digimon residents in the human world continue to grow, even if some fear the numbers will cause some sort of overpopulation, but no tension has been brewing since an agreement has been signed off.
